Project | Baby Shower Invitation
Designing a typical baby shower for my sister was out of the question. Cute baby shower games with pastel colors and cute baby animals just didn’t seem to suit the sophistication and taste of this modern mom. Using her “pet name” for the baby-to-be, Kernel, the theme of “POP” became the inspiration. The invitation set the tone for a fun, casual but chic and sophisticated event. Popcorn garlands were used to decorate the space and drinks like soda pop and of the popping of the champagne cork was used to to celebrate in line with the theme. The asian-fusion fare was displayed on trays and created bite-sized for easy “POPping” into your mouth, including miso soup served in shot glasses and dumplings served in a puddle of ponzu on a chinese ceramic spoon.
