Project | Logo Design For Subsidiary
Client | East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center [ESGVJCC]
Having worked with the client many times before, I already had a strong sense of their purpose and mission. In starting a subsidiary group to care for children through their community organization, the ESGVJCC wanted to make sure that the logo could stand alone while also reflecting the identity and brand of the ESGVJCC.
I decided to maintain the texture and color treatment as well as the minimilast feel but the overall design itself had to speak to the population this subsidiary would serve, children. It was such a fun challenge to have this logo tie to the existing organizations’ logo while still keeping the suborg’s mission and audience in mind.

Kiko was amazing to work with. She took our comments and feedback and created a wide variety of options for us, always working with our needs and concerns. I really appreciated her patience as well as her professionalism with following up with us. The design options varied giving us different perspectives and angles to look at the logo options which helped our committee and board decide what they liked and what they didn’t. Her creativity knows no bounds and we were lucky to have been able to work with her!
