Project | Marketing Piece
Client | Raw Mana Life

Last week I posted about packaging solutions for Raw Mana Life but before I had the pleasure of working on that project I had the honor of working on this clients’ first marketing piece. He had a dilemma. He was just starting out and trying to introduce his product to his target audience through athletic events such as marathons. The problem was he was passing out a sample along with an 8.5 x 11 flyer that was going directly on the floor or in the trash. What he realized was the participants at these events didn’t want to carry the paper and it wasn’t easy enough to throw in their pocket or pouch.

My challenge was to create a marketing piece an athlete participating at an event could really take with them but still make it large enough to contain all the necessary and important information—not to mention make the individual interested in the product. The solution was a piece that tapped into the lifestyle of the target audience. Active individuals. Engaged individuals. The marketing piece was nearly the size of his original flyer but it folded up into a pocket sized card that he could even use as a business card! It was designed to force the reader to be active and engaged in receiving the message. And it was designed to allow for the participant to pocket the marketing piece to look at later while they enjoyed their sample.

[Photos show prototype…in other words ignore the hot pink triangles and rough edges!
